Technically it’s still late summer, but here in Southeastern Pennsylvania it’s starting to feel distinctly autumnal. The temperatures are more moderate, the humidity has dropped and the kids are back in school. It feels like a Ferris Bueller day – one where the conditions are so perfect that it just seems like an absolute shame to spend it trapped in a classroom or office cubicle.
So how better to celebrate that back-to-school-so-you-can-cut-school feeling than playing something that’ll sound great blasting from your open car windows while you play air guitar at a stoplight during a time of day when you’re supposed to be doing something else? Perhaps with this frothy, sugarcoated bit of pop from Tinted Windows, the wildly unlikely combination of Taylor Hansen (Hansen), James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins), Adam Schlesinger (Fountains of Wayne), and the mighty Bun E. Carlos (Cheap Trick).
